What next?
I've started a blog with my senior Eng class. There is some enthusiasm for posting, but less for actively using it as a tool to keep up with the readings. On one hand, I'd like to make it more interactive. On the other, I'm concerned about the lack of internet access at home for the students.

Why not involve them in the planning? Could they work together outside of school? Can they use the school library? The town library? Can they do some of the work as an in-class activity? Can you bring in the computers or take them to the lab? If all else fails, can they be allowed to turn in their work the traditional way?

Dennis respoded with some good ideas to your post. I'm glad to see that you changed up their ordinary posting to include Wordle. Perhaps these options will keep them interested. Does the high school have the traveling laptop cart? I know the batteries are always an issue...Technology...I'm still a paper and pencil person :)
